When I think,

"This could be it!

This could be the right time,

the right place,

the one thing I have waited for."

When I think,

"He is everything

I never knew I wanted;

all the things I didn't know

were missing."

When I think,

"We could be together;

to have and to hold,

to be equal parts of

a lifelong relationship."

I think,

"Wow, how did this happen?

How did it come to pass

that we were chosen for

these roles to each other?"

And I think,

"Don't try to lead it;

don't try to alter this

that someone else is handling

for you both."

And I think,

"I can't live up to

what it takes to make it work.

I can't be the person I

ought to be for this."

But, I think,

"I already am,

or I wouldn't be here.

I wouldn't be the one who

was chosen for this."
