I Am Me

12-20-90

In my mind

I see

no restraints

Nothing to stop me

I always succeed

I AM ME.

No masks here.

I can heal and calm

even the worst storms.

My voice is that of a songbird

trapped in a human body

crying to be set free.

The result is a melancholy song

that speaks of happiness and love.

A reincarnation of a long-ago nightingale.

The ugly duckling is about to become

a swan.
